Take the UrbanReviewSTL Reader Survey

December 26, 2008 Downtown 7 Comments

In the interest of gathering more data on those who read my blog I’ve put together a short annonymous survey. The survey is brief and will only take you a few minutes to complete.  This is the same program I’m using to create my 2009 Candidate Questionaire so this is also a trial run before the candidate survey is opened next year.  This survey will remain open until 5pm on 2/28/2009 midnight on 12/31/08.  Take the UrbanReviewSTL Reader Survey.  Thank you!

Addendum 12/26/08 @ 9:30am.

The responses are coming in, thank you!  Your responses will be very helpful when talking to advertisers.  Reader Survey 2.0 will be out in October 2009  — I’m already getting good ideas for improvements to both the questions and standard answers.  Use the comments below to provide post survey feedback.

Addendum 12/28/08 @ 5:45pm.

I shortened the time in which the survey will remain open.

Although I’m a regular reader of the site and filled out the survey, the following comment is unrelated to the topic at hand. I’m sorry for posting this here, but I’m not sure where else to turn and am hoping someone can help me out.

I know many readers of this website are also contributers at the Urban St Louis Forum (http://www.urbanstl.com/index.php). For the past couple days, I have been unable to connect to the webpage and am wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. When I go to the page I get this error message:

    “phpBB : Critical Error
Could not connect to the database”

I’m not sure if something is wrong with my computer, my internet connection or if the forum is down. When I tried to contact Urban St. Louis and filled out the feedback form, it didn’t go through and I got this message:

    “MAIL NOT SENT. SMTP ERROR:”

    Does anyone know what’s up?

Again, Steve, sorry for posting this here, I’m just not sure where else to get information on my problem… this seemed to be the best place.

I’ve been told it’s a server issue, and they’re trying to work it out. They’ll fix it.

Urbanstl is now back up and running, to answer the comment.

Steve I took the survey but I just want you to understand something. Even tho I read the post daily I do NOT subscribe to it daily. (It ain’t worth it!) I only subscribe to the Sunday edition. The daily is delivered where I work so I usually read it on my lunch break right after I finish reading the current days blog on Urban Review! I love reading peoples opinions on civic issues. When I read the Post I go straight to the letters to the editor. Same thing with the Journal paper. Sometimes the “Town Talk” is interesting. Sometimes. Ha ha
