Weekly poll: Where do you live?
In honor of the start of the 2010 Census, I want to know where you live. I know quite a bit from my statistics about all readers, but those that take the time to vote each week in the poll (right sidebar) is only a fraction of the total readers for that time period.
The choices provided are:
- City of St. Louis
- St. Louis County (inside I-270)
- St. Louis County (outside I-270)
- St. Charles County, MO
- Jefferson County, MO
- Metro East (IL)
- Kansas City metro
- Other Missouri
- Chicago metro
- New York City metro
- Elsewhere in the United States
- Canada
- UK
- Country other than USA, CAN or UK
- Other:
The poll is in the right hand column.

Forest Park Southeast, right here!
No big shocks in the preliminary results. An urbanist blog about St. Louis is primarily read by city dwellers or inner-ring-suburb dwellers.
A parallel question, with due credit to the Zogby Poll, would be do you identify most with your neighborhood, parish, city, region, state, country or the planet earth?
Metro-East citizen right here (anxious to move downtown though). It's funny, I've spoken to so many St. Louisans who are confused/disgusted by my St. Louis obsession — they don't know what they've got! I consider it my duty to drop some knowledge on them and get them looking/thinking about their city in new ways.
I'm a former Saint Louisian , now I'm living in Guangzhou China. The last place I lived in STL was Shaw.
By the way Steve, I cant see any of your photos or comments from here. I have to use a internet proxy program see them. It seems the services you are using are being blocked by the great firewall.
Ben I use Flickr just as you do. BTW, your pics are stunning!
Should have known, I have to use a proxy for flickr too. Glad you like them. By the way, I just started a blog partly inspired by your site: cantoneyes.com
