Broadway Has One Less Lane, Still Unfriendly To Pedestrians

The other day I noticed the next to the Edward Jones Dome that one traffic lane of the one-way south Broadway has been blocked off. The road is too wide so I don’t miss the lane, but I didn’t think it could possibly get any more hostile to pedestrians — but it did.

This has nothing to do with improving the pedestrian experience; this has everything to do with protecting NFL events from potential terrorist attacks!

Yeah, because keeping those bombs 5 feet further away from the building is really going to help.

How so? Do the barriers block a crosswalk or something along those lines?

Is this the same area where they parked a row of school buses during Rams games last year?

      yes

This situation kind of relates to the Stan Kroenke/Rams/Dome Improvement question. If the CVC wants to improve the game-day experience, closing this section of Broadway on game Sundays should be considered.
