Last Sunday, Oct. 25th Daylight Savings ended in Frankfurt, where my family and I live, which meant that my kids, who remain after school each evening for extra curricular activities and who ride the train to and from school each day, approx. 75 miles each way, were forced to commute entirely in the dark every evening last week. Because their school starts at 9:15 each day to accommodate the majority of the students who are commuters, Daylight Savings works best for our schedule all 365 days of the year.
